Inspiration

Inspiration comes in many forms, usually unexpected and always profound. We can choose to do great things with this inspiration, or we can let the moment pass and fizzle to nothing. As for me I am of an obsessive nature and could never let the spark go.

I find inspiration in many people, places, and things. For instance the blind determination of Luffy from the anime "One Piece" inspires me to be great, the righteous unwavering  spirit of Jim Gordon from the show "Gotham" inspires me to be just, and the rapper Eminem inspires me to be myself despite what I'm told to be. These are just a few examples of my many inspirations that shape who I am.

As we collect and hold on to these inspirations we now have a choice to make, do we seek to inspire others? or do we languish and become a nothing? Much of life was spent discovering who I was, and now that I have I will stop at nothing to express myself and hopefully become an inspiration to others.

Art, Music, and Literature are mediums we can use to express our soul, but first we need to find our self and separate truth from the subjective. Once we are true to ourselves then we can create out of pure love. When we create out of love inspiration will flow forth and can not be stifled.

  1. Wow! Profound, eloquent and absolutely sincere! Yes, we must be an entity but not for its own sake. We must be what we love or why else bother? We must earn that love by celebrating our every joy.

    1. Thanks Shawn. Yes, indeed this life can be a celebration of what we love or it can be a drudgery of hate, the choice is ours.

  2. Inspiration is what fuels a creative mind, Chris. You cannot help but do something with it. Such enthusiasm is infectious, and spreads easily.

    1. Yes inspiration is the fuel for the fire of spirit. Once the fire is lit nothing of this world can put it out!

  3. Congrats on your first blog, Chris! Ironically, I think you may have been inspired by those around you to do it! I love to be inspired, and I really do believe that we have a responsibility to make something of that inspiration and give it to the world. That is what you did. I hope others are inspired by your blog to do likewise. :) Keep kicking ass, dude!

    1. Thank you Tommy. Yes I was very much inspired by my wonderful friends, the Figments! You have been such a awe-inspiring light in an otherwise gray world.

  4. Inspiration comes from everywhere. What a bloody shame for someone to absord such good things and not do anything with it. Collecting trivia is a useless hobby in and of itself. Let these inspirations drive you to expand the world around you and never stop.
