Temptation vs Opportunity

Without proper discernment temptation can be confused with opportunity. The nature of things leads us to believe we have to be a wolf among sheep in order to get ahead. Many sell their soul for what they think is a legitimate opportunity that turns out to be a deception.

Temptation is always at the expense of others, we may not see the effects at first but those who we care about will suffer most in the end. Temptation is an easy way out the short-cut that seems like a sure thing. Temptation leads to a dead end always, it is an instant gratification that is unsustainable.

Opportunity is the ability to go to the next level, to do more, and reach our goals. Many make the mistake of waiting for opportunity to knock, but I can tell you from my experience opportunities are made from hard work and diligence. We make our opportunities, there is a such thing as the right place and right time but it is a direct result of being on the right path.

On the path to success many will try to deceive us in an attempt to lead us to an impasse. They will see us as an opportunity to better themselves at our expense. It is up to us to be wise enough to resist temptation and deception, opportunities will come to those who walk the path.

  1. I despise people who believe stepping on others is an acceptable method of advancement. Let us move foward while uplifting those around us whenever possible.

    1. Absolutely, those who step on others end up flat on their face in the end.

    2. People who feed off of others are the zombies, werewolves and vampires of reality. They lose their humanity for that murderous meal. They become the monsters... and in so doing they dig their own graves. SPOILER ALERT! The good guys win.

  2. Stay on the straight and narrow indeed! Onward! For better or worse, onward! The fire is on our heels and shall consume any left behind.

    1. Onward! May our actions inspire others to join the fight! Compromise is for those weak of spirit.

  3. Temptation is an invitation to lust. Opportunity is a chance to do better. The former requires sacrifice, but not the latter.

    1. Indeed, evil always demands sacrifice. The sacrifice may seem impersonal at first but always hurts those we love in the end.
