Breaking Our Chains

Quitting your day job to follow a passion is a intimidating concept for most and unthinkable for many. There are many self imposed rules and lifestyle choices that add to the difficulty of becoming free of the grind. Most would rather compromise in the name of comfort and security.

The chains we forge in life are the direct result of seeking more from the outside and less from ourselves. There are many systems in place to keep us running in circles, all of which appeal to the desire for worldly comfort and pleasure. Denying ourselves is the only sure-fire way of becoming free of these systems.

When we free ourselves from the world we can finally start to become our own person. We must become self-sufficient and live within our means if we are to thrive on our own. Once we are able to provide our basic needs such as food and shelter with our passion we can start to move away from the meaningless grind.

There are no realistic ways to "get rich quick" without hard work and determination, it takes self-sacrifice and perseverance in order to reach our goal of financial independence. Adaption is key when finding a way to profit from our work. I'm currently laying the foundation for my own shot at freedom, I don't know if I'll be successful but I rather die trying than live as a slave.

  1. Humans have wings. They are intended to be spread out as wide as possible. The grind keeps them closed and any attempt to open them attracts hostility. DO IT ANYWAYS!

    1. Yes! Any attempt to break free attracts the taskmaster's whip, but the alternative is to remain a nonentity in bondage so we really have nothing to lose for trying.

  2. As long as you keep trying to find a way out of the prison, you're not resigned to your fate. It's when your own mind provides the walls and chains that you are truly a slave.

    1. Absolutely. When we compromise we lose control of our fate, when we listen to a voice other than our own we lose our soul.
